Subscription and Cancellation Policy

This Subscription and Cancellation Policy applies to paid memberships offered by The Design Index.

Subscription plans

The Design Index currently offers the following membership plans:

• Designer membership, €25 per month or €250 per year
• Brand membership, €35 per month or €350 per year

The price and features displayed during checkout apply to your purchase. Any applicable taxes will be shown during checkout.

Payments

Subscription payments are securely processed through Stripe.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise The Design Index and Stripe to charge your selected payment method at the beginning of each billing period.

You are responsible for providing accurate and current payment information.

Automatic renewal

Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month.

Annual subscriptions renew automatically each year.

Your subscription will continue to renew until you cancel it.

The renewal payment is normally charged on the same calendar date on which the subscription began. The exact date may vary where a month does not contain that calendar date or where payment processing is delayed.

Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the available account or billing controls.

If you cannot access those controls, contact info@thedesignindex.eu using the email address connected to your account.

Cancellation prevents the next automatic renewal. Unless otherwise required by law, your paid membership and its features will remain available until the end of your current billing period.

Deleting your profile or account does not necessarily cancel an active Stripe subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately or ask us to cancel it for you.

Refund requests

The Design Index offers a voluntary refund period of seven days following an initial subscription purchase.

To request a refund, contact info@thedesignindex.eu within seven days of the initial payment. Include the email address connected to your account and sufficient information for us to identify the payment.

This voluntary seven day policy does not limit any longer cancellation, withdrawal, or refund right provided by applicable consumer law.

European Union withdrawal rights

If you purchase a subscription as a consumer in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days of entering into it.

To exercise this right, send a clear withdrawal request to info@thedesignindex.eu before the withdrawal period expires.

If you requested immediate access to the membership during the withdrawal period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided, where permitted by law and where the required request and information were provided during checkout.

Nothing in this policy limits your mandatory consumer rights.

Renewal payments

Subscription renewal payments are generally not refundable after a new billing period begins.

However, we may provide a refund where:

• The payment was charged incorrectly
• A technical error caused a duplicate payment
• The law requires a refund
• We approve a refund after reviewing exceptional circumstances

To avoid another payment, cancel before your next renewal date.

Digital products

Digital products, including downloadable templates, guides, drawings, resource packs, textures, or other files, are separate from subscriptions unless expressly stated otherwise.

When immediate access to a digital product begins, you may be asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you will lose your statutory withdrawal right once delivery begins.

After access or downloading begins with the required consent and acknowledgement, digital products are not refundable unless:

• The product is defective
• The product is materially different from its description
• The files cannot be accessed because of a problem caused by The Design Index
• A refund is required by law

This policy does not affect mandatory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content.

Failed payments

If a subscription payment fails, we may:

• Attempt to process the payment again
• Ask you to update your payment method
• Temporarily restrict paid membership features
• Unpublish a paid profile or listing
• Suspend or end the subscription

You remain responsible for valid charges incurred before cancellation.

Price changes

We may change our subscription prices or the features included in a membership.

A price change will not affect a billing period that has already been paid.

Where required, we will provide reasonable notice before a new price applies to a future renewal. You may cancel before the renewal if you do not wish to continue at the new price.

Membership access after cancellation

After cancellation, paid features will normally remain available until the end of the current billing period.

Once the paid period ends, we may restrict paid features and unpublish membership content, including a professional profile or brand listing.

We may retain account information and uploaded content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You may contact us separately if you wish to request account deletion.

Subscription termination by The Design Index

We may suspend or terminate a subscription where a user:

• Fails to pay the subscription fee
• Seriously or repeatedly violates our Terms and Conditions
• Uploads unlawful or infringing content
• Uses the platform fraudulently
• Creates a safety or security risk

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Any refund following termination will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

Processing times

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe.

Bank and card processing times vary. It may take several business days for a refund to appear in your account after it has been issued.
