Boutique Hotel Renovation
Barcelona, Spain
Rooms involved
Project brief
We are seeking an interior designer or studio to develop the full interior concept for the renovation of a small boutique hotel in Barcelona. The property includes 12 guest rooms, reception, lounge and breakfast area, along with several shared circulation spaces. The goal is to create an intimate and characterful hotel that feels distinctly Mediterranean without relying on overly traditional or themed design. We are drawn to natural stone, textured plaster, warm woods, aged metals, linen and other tactile materials, combined with contemporary furniture and understated architectural detailing. Each space should feel relaxed and residential while maintaining the durability and functionality required for hospitality use. The selected designer will be involved in space planning, concept development, material and finish specification, lighting, custom joinery, furniture selection and styling. Experience with hospitality projects is preferred but not essential if your portfolio demonstrates a strong understanding of atmosphere, materiality and spatial experience. We are open to working with designers and studios internationally, provided they are comfortable coordinating remotely with the local project team.
