London, United Kingdom

CTO Lighting has been creating designs that embody a contemporary yet timeless elegance for more than twenty-five years, inspired by nature's finest raw materials and committed to artisan-crafted materials that illuminate with a soft, diffused light. Designed and manufactured in England at their studio and workshop on Cloudesley Road in London, the brand produces a complete collection of ceiling, wall, floor, table and bathroom lighting for the most sophisticated residential and hospitality interiors around the world. CTO is a certified carbon neutral company with eighty percent of its suppliers based in the United Kingdom.

  • CTO Lighting occupies a distinctive position in the British lighting landscape, combining the design authority and material sophistication of a luxury brand with a commitment to genuine in-house craftsmanship and sustainable production that gives every piece its particular integrity. Every CTO fixture begins with a material, whether bronze, brass, glass, stone or another natural element, and is developed around the single most important quality criterion in the brand's design process: the quality of the light it produces. The final design must above all else deliver a soft ambient glow, which in turn will enrich the luxury interior that it occupies.

The brand's current collection is one of the most comprehensive in British lighting design. The Trace collection, launched at Euroluce 2025 and available in Free Fall, Circular, Linear, Linear X and Circular Halo configurations, represents the brand's most ambitious recent design statement, a family of architectural ceiling pieces that balance technical precision with a formal elegance that reads equally well in contemporary and transitional interior contexts. The Ceres collection, available in Pendant and Uplighter formats, demonstrates the brand's ongoing engagement with natural material, its form derived from the organic geometry of natural structures and finished in the brand's signature bronze and brass tones. The Contour collection extends the same material language into wall and pendant applications.

Across the broader collection, the Avalon chandelier family in single, triple, oval and halo configurations, the Cascata long chandelier, the Nimbus family in round, cascade, wall and chandelier formats, the Artes family spanning pendant, floor, wall and ceiling formats, the Roma family, the Torres family, the Heron family and the Array opal family together represent a collection of extraordinary range and consistent quality. The Modulo system, available in vertical, horizontal, grid and wall configurations, provides the most architectural approach in the range for designers working on larger scale or more technically demanding briefs. A Quickship programme makes signature pieces available with accelerated delivery for time-sensitive projects.

The brand's project portfolio demonstrates the breadth of environments in which CTO pieces have been specified. Project Nøtterøy by Rue Verte in Denmark, Victorian Villa by Veves Design, Spring Hill House, Stockholm Apartment by Kitchens by Paul, House in the Woods Netherlands by Grand and Johnson, Torrisi Restaurant in New York, the Poliform catalogue, the Molteni and C catalogue and Gravetye Manor Dining are among a published project archive that spans residential, hospitality and commercial applications across Europe, the United States and Australia.

CTO prides itself on British design and manufacturing, using the highest quality durable materials, resulting in a truly timeless product. Suppliers are carefully selected ensuring that all involved in the process of creating a CTO fixture hold the highest standards in the industry. Currently eighty percent of suppliers are based in the United Kingdom, fifteen percent in Europe and five percent in the rest of the world.
